I am the founder and CEO of Bijou Collective, an agency that provides strategy and behind-the-scenes business management to visionaries, healers and world builders.
When leaders have a vision burning on their hearts, motivated by a deep desire to serve and create (and to live abundantly while doing it!), they call us to co-create and implement their action plans.
I got my start in the online business world working for public radio & television, and I later moved into a role with Ogilvy & Mather, a global marketing and public relations firm, where I spent several years supporting the world's top brands. I learned a great deal in my role with Ogilvy...
...but eventually the misalignment between my values and the companies I supported became too great.
That's when I parted ways from Ogilvy and started flying solo, forging a path as a consultant who works exclusively with progressive companies, organizations and entrepreneurs whose vision and values align with my own.
I also provided business coaching to the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center's Milestone Makers cohorts.
All of this led me to founding Bijou Collective, and then to expanding on our mission and service offerings.

I am the co-founder and COO of Bijou Collective.
In my early career, I worked as a corporate paralegal and quickly realized that office politics, gossip, and the revolving door of double-shot espressos, out of scope work demands, “optional” happy hour, and the melatonin supplements I needed just to unwind at night, was all taking a hard toll on my mental health.
And that was before my physical health needs were even part of the equation.
I’ve had excruciating periods since age 11, and I spent years being told by healthcare providers to take excessive amounts of ibuprofen, drink Gatorade, and essentially get on with it.
So I did - until I couldn't anymore.
When my sick days at the office ran out, I was out of options and unable to hide it any longer. One day I found myself locked in a bathroom stall, sitting up on the tank so nobody could see my feet, trying to keep a panic attack under control.
That was the moment I knew I needed to take control of my future, and it wasn’t going to be a job in Corporate America or a doctor in western medicine who set me free.
After all, neither of those worlds was built with women in mind.
In 2015, I began supporting women-led founders behind-the-scenes, fell in love with business operations and knowing that my voice mattered, and found that I finally had the space to take care of my body with food, movement, and most crucially - rest when I needed it.
Safa & Jamie: A Meeting of the Minds
The two of us connected in 2018 through our online business network, but found ourselves living in the same town in Mexico in 2025 and became fast friends - in fact, neighbors in the beginning!
And after sipping tea together on our rooftop terrace, overlooking our beautiful mountainous surroundings and discovering that we come from similar personal backgrounds, we decided to go into business together to help other women figure out their health and careers - because we all deserve to thrive in a community that was specifically designed with our needs in mind.
Bijou Collective: Nourishing Wisdom for Body, Soul & Business
We cannot discuss building a new economy – one designed to support and nourish the needs of humanity and nature instead of an economy founded on reckless extraction – without also providing education about our bodies and the right & balanced ways to care for them.
The extractive economy has forced humanity into rhythms and lifestyle choices that run counter to the natural order of things, causing us to deplete our bodies and souls, degrade our health and neglect our relationships in pursuit of financial gain.
This pattern has normalized and escalated for so long that much of what should be common knowledge and common practice has been completely lost to us – which is why Bijou Collective has expanded our mission to include resources that fill this knowledge gap.
We've never regretted my decision to depart from the traditional employment track, to follow my heart and build a life that allows me to prioritize my family, health and independence while contributing to an economy that serves the greater good.
